Kirsten Murfitt
After graduating from the University of Auckland in 1999, Kirsten gained her formative experience as a Barrister & Solicitor at two top-tier law firms in Auckland. After that, Kirsten worked in-house for a software development company and a manufacturing company. This in-house experience has given her keen insight into what is important to commercial clients when delivering legal services. Kirsten’s roles at such large firms have yielded valuable diversity and complexity of legal experience.
Kirsten moved back into private practice in 2011. There is not much that Kirsten hasn’t seen in her 20-year professional career. She’s a problem-solver through and through. Kirsten has a broad range of experience and enjoys practising in all aspects of commercial, property, estate and trust law.

Satinder Sohal
Registered Legal Executive
Satinder started her career in the law industry in 2015 at a law firm in Tauranga and joined KM Law in 2018. She gained her Legal Executive Diploma in 2016.
Satinder has worked predominantly in residential conveyancing, but also offers appreciable knowledge of trust accounting administration.
Satinder is fluent in Punjabi and has assisted several non-English speakers.
Libby Maxwell
Legal Secretary
Libby is our bubbly and friendly legal secretary and administration expert. Libby graduated from her Business Management studies in 2017 and started her career in the law industry by joining KM Law full time in March 2021. She assists with residential and commercial conveyancing matters, wills, and trusts.
Whilst working full-time, she is also studying a Diploma in Legal Executive Studies and will graduate in June 2023.
